International Coronary Congress

The symposium began in 2015 Chapel Hill as the UNC/ISMICS Heart Team Summit. In 2020, the symposium has expanded from the multidisciplinary collaboration around atrial fibrillation and rhythm device management to now include heart valve disease, coronary artery disease, venous embolism, and heart failure.

In 2020, an international community of leading interventional electrophysiologists and cardiac arrhythmia surgeons will gather in Chicago, Illinois to present the contemporary and most advanced techniques for both the catheter and surgical treatment of atrial fibrillation at the Catheter and Surgical Therapies for Atrial Fibrillation conference (CAST-AF).  The format for the conference consists of plenary lectures, plenary roundtables, and plenary debates on topics of controversy as well as extensive specialty interventional EP and surgical breakout sessions. The course directors are Drs. James Cox, Bradley Knight and Patrick McCarthy. This activity has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
