The following editorial guidelines have been established for the AFibSurgeons.org website (the “Site”) to govern various aspects of sponsored and editorial content on the Site. As provided for in the Site's terms and conditions, this site is sponsored by AtriCure, Inc.
As provided for in these guidelines, the term “Sponsored Content” may include educational materials including articles, blog posts, videos, infographics and eBooks that result from independent and/or collaborative activities among AtriCure, Inc. and Clinical Cardiac, Inc. (“Clinical Cardiac”), the operator of the Site.
The guidelines in this policy govern issues such as acceptance of Sponsored Content by Clinical Cardiac, how sponsorship materials and educational placements are displayed on the Site, and the potential removal of such information from the Site.
Clinical Cardiac has the discretion with respect to interpretation and enforcement of this policy and all other issues associated with Sponsored Content. Clinical Cardiac may change this policy at any time in its discretion by posting a revised policy on the Site with a revision date as provided for and referenced herein.
Clinical Cardiac has the discretion for determining the types of sponsorship materials that will be accepted and displayed on the Site, and under no circumstances will Clinical Cardiac’s acceptance of any sponsorship materials be considered an endorsement of the product(s) and/or service(s) advertised or for the entity that advertises, manufactures, distributes, or promotes products or services.
Clinical Cardiac will not accept promotional materials that, in Clinical Cardiac’s opinion, is not factually accurate and in good taste.
There are certain categories of Sponsored Content that Clinical Cardiac will not permit on the Site. These categories include but are not limited to banner advertisements such as display images in common pixel formats of 160X600, 728X90 and 300X300 dimensions.
Clinical Cardiac recognizes and maintains a separation between Sponsored Content and editorial content (“Editorial Content”). Editorial Content may include articles, blog posts, videos, infographics and eBooks that result from the activities of Featured Physicians (as defined in the Site’s terms and conditions of use). Any Editorial Content on the Site will be identified as such. For example, Editorial Content shall be identified with the words "Editorial Content".
